Assisted Living Apartment Plans
Even the most beautiful campuses do not suppress those thoughts about the space in which you’ll actually be living.
Stonebridge at Montgomery offers spacious studios and one-bedroom assisted living apartments. The 325-square-foot studios feature a living/sleeping area, kitchenette, private bath, and two large closets. The one-bedroom suites range from 458 to 490 square feet and include a separate bedroom, living/dining area, kitchenette, private bath, and two closets.
Housekeeping services are provided, including linen washing. You won’t have to spend your time cooking, either, as three meals a day are served in the family-style dining room. At the dining hall, you can pick up takeout or sit down to enjoy both casual and gourmet options.
Activities and Outings in Skillman
Being just 5 miles away from Princeton University has a way of influencing a place.
Sure, residents here like to have fun with activities like cornhole and bridge, but you’ll also find get-togethers that reflect an intellectual mindset, including a French club, a poetry circle, a book club, and discussion groups. Popular games include Scrabble and Mah Jong.
It’s worth noting that the Stonebridge at Montgomery Library, which contains some 8,000 books and is always expanding, contains a special section dedicated to books written by Stonebridge authors.
We also frequently plan outings to Princeton, where residents can take a tour around campus or visit downtown and other historical sites. (Fun fact: From June 30 to Nov. 4, 1783, Princeton was the provisional capital of the United States.)
The Princeton Art Museum, which houses over 92,000 works of art, is another favorite of residents and will be even more impressive when its new home in the heart of campus opens in spring 2025.
Something to look forward to? The Stonebridge at Montgomery assisted living community is currently undergoing renovations, which will be completed by the end of April 2024. This renovation will include updates such as refreshed hallways, dining rooms and living rooms, in addition to brand new common areas. With new paint, wall coverings, floorings, cabinets, counters and furnishings being applied, the new space will feel more lively and light with a contemporary look and feel within the community. As residents move in, rooms will be renovated, allowing the community to feel refreshed and residents to feel more at home.
Daily Life and Assisted Living
Special outings, activities, and events put the exclamation mark on life, but unstructured time to socialize, relax, and exercise is just as important. To that end, Stonebridge at Montgomery offers an unrivaled line-up of places to go and things to do.
At the top of that list for many residents is the clubhouse, a cheery place to sip cocktails by the fire, play billiards, or visit the art gallery. When the weather’s nice, you’ll find friends on the terrace, enjoying the view of the Great Lawn.
The Fitness Center is another top draw, thanks to group classes, personal training, and the wide range of equipment to help residents reach their goals through our signature LivWell program. There’s also a heated indoor pool with plenty of natural light and a pretty pitched wood-beam ceiling.
Next up, at least for green thumbs, is the greenhouse, where residents can design flower arrangements or grow their own parsley, rosemary, chives, and more to use when they feel like making a home-cooked meal.
It’s no surprise that many Stonebridge residents also have an artistic side — and they express it at the art studio through oil painting, watercolors, pastels, and even sculpting. Classes are offered, as is the space to do your own thing.
Outdoors at Stonebridge at Montgomery
The first thing you’ll notice is the expansive wildflower meadow separating Stonebridge from the road. The grounds also include plenty of green space and walking trails.
But it’s Stonebridge pond that attracts the most attention when Stonebridge Yacht Club hosts its annual regatta featuring radio-controlled boats of all kinds, including sailboats, powerboats, and even an airboat. That’s always followed by the post-regatta party where skippers and fans mingle with martinis.
