Stonebridge at Montgomery Community Hosts Drive-Through Chili Fundraiser

chili fundraiser 2021

Stonebridge residents and staff came together with Montgomery Township Schools parent volunteers to launch a chili fundraiser to help support the Parent Teacher Organizations in Montgomery Township Schools. The Stonebridge resident volunteers took it one step further and decided to purchase and deliver chili dinners to Share My Meals, a non-profit organization run by volunteers that aims to fight food insecurity and food waste in the Princeton and Montgomery area. Stonebridge resident volunteers helped coordinate, fulfill and load meal orders into recipient vehicles.

Giving Back to the Community

The meals were prepared by the Stonebridge at Montgomery Dining Team at the community. A favorite menu item at Stonebridge, the fundraiser meal consisted of homemade chili (steak or vegetarian), freshly baked corn bread and a garden salad for $10 ($8 for children’s portion). The total number of meals purchased were 222 and 97 meals were delivered to Share My Meals who distributed to food insecure families in the Montgomery area. Proceeds benefiting the Montgomery Township Schools were over $2,300.

Stonebridge at Montgomery plans to further their partnership with Share My Meals to include additional fundraising events in the future that help provide meals to individuals experiencing food insecurity in the Montgomery area.
